The concept of Srotas and Srotodushti Lakshana has been very scientifically explained in the various context of Ayurveda literature. Detailed Srotas and Srotodushti Lakshana are according to Charaka Samhita Vimansthana assessment of Srotodushti Lakshana can be done by Pratyksha Pramana and in detail explanation. The Srotas play an important role in physiology and the pathogenesis of diseases in normal state; they regulate the physiolo- gy of the body and maintain the anatomical structures of dhatus. The influences of aetiology factors on Srotas can affect pathological manifestations. Considering this fact present study explores various aspects related to the Sro- tas, Srotodushti and Srotodushti Lakshana. Objectives-To assessment of Srotodushti Lakshana in Artavavaha Srotas through Clinical, biochemical, and radiological examination in Artavavaha Srotas. Methodology -The study was conducted under two headings, conceptual and survey study. Conceptual study all the concerned litera- ture were referred and analysed and for survey study, the Artvavaha Sroto Vikara observed and survey through face-face interview. -Hence it is concluded that the knowledge of Srotas is not only used in learning about the anatomy of the transport system of the body but also to understand their physiology and pathology. <p class="abstract">Lipoma is a benign mesenchymal tumor with a thirteen percent incidence in head and neck region. Posterior triangle is the most common location while anterior neck lipoma is a rare one. Giant lipomas &gt;10 cm have been reported in different parts of the body but rarely in the anterior neck. Surgical excision remains the treatment of choice. We here report a case of giant anterior neck lipoma in a 50 year old male managed surgically.</p>

Schwannomas are benign peripheral nerve sheet tumours that may arise almost anywhere in the body but are commonly seen in the head, neck region and in the extremities. They may be associated with variable clinical presentations depending on their location. The peripheral nerves are closely related to vascular tissues morphologically and physiologically and therefore schwannomas may be associated with vascular changes like vascular hyperplasia and vascular dilation. Here authors represent one such case where a 38-year-old patient presented with a cervical swelling which on histopathology was diagnosed as vascular schwannoma.

Background: Osteoradionecrosis (ORN) post dental extraction is post dentalextraction complication with post radiation cancer theraphy. Objective : to present rare case, ORN post dental extraction with post radiation Ca nasopharing therapy 3 years ago.Case Management: A 54 years old patient reported to the dental out-patient department with a chief complaint of pus discharge from right buccal since post dental extraction 6 months ago. He gave a history of a nasopharing Carcinoma with histopatology as squamous cell carcinoms 3 years ago and radio therapy but no surgery. Intraoral examination, exposed necrotic bone found from right lower retromolar area 46 with pus discharge. Radiographic view was likely squester. Local surgical debridement and the sequestrectomy was undertaken with general anaesthesia. Antibiotic injection treatment was ceftriaxon 2x 1gram, infus metronidazol 3x500 mg and ketorolac 3x1 ampul, the patient was treated for 3 days and educated to maintain his oral hygiene with povidone iodine gargle.Discussion: Osteoradionecrosis (ORN) is late effect of radiation therapy thatresults in irreversible tissue death, which is clinically observed as bony exposure for more than 3 months duration. The mandible is affected more often than the maxilla or any other bones of head and neck region. The incidence of ORN in the mandible is reported to be between 2% and 22% and most often affects the body of the mandible. Ideal time is one year minimal post radiotherapy to get maximal vascularization for optimal healing. But immunity factor and radiation doses can trigger emergense ORN.Conclusion: Need time consideration, clinic analysis and pathologys before doing dental extraction for post radiotherapy cancer cases to prevent ORN.

Introduction: Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a rare salivary gland malignancy that can occur in any part of the body, its clinicopathologic features are scarcely reported in locoregional literature. Therefore, in this study we aimed to evaluate the clinicopathologic features of adenoid cystic carcinoma in our population and to determine the association of age and site of its occurrence with histologic pattern and perineural invasion. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 30 cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma that underwent surgical resections or biopsies from March 2009 to February 2020 at Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College, Karachi. Clinical and histopathological parameters including age, site, histological pattern and perineural invasion were determined and association between different parameters was analyzed. Results: Mean age of the patients was 30 + 16.1 years. Cribriform pattern was most common histologic pattern (63.3%) while head and neck region was the most common site of occurrence (83.3%). Perineural invasion which is one of the most important prognostic factors in adenoid cystic carcinoma was present in approximately half of the patients (46.7%). No significant association of age and site was found with histologic pattern and perineural invasion. Conclusion: Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a rare malignancy most commonly occurring in head and neck region with a high frequency of perineural invasion. No significant difference of histologic pattern and histologic prognostic parameter like perineural invasion was noted at different ages and different sites in our study.

Attention is drawn to the confusion which has been caused by the loose terminology of the anterior appendages in polychaetes, and more exact connotations are proposed. As the prostomium can be recognized as a comparable unit throughout the Polychaeta, a consideration of its constitution is deferred. In the present paper the development and constitution of the anterior region of the sabellariid worms are considered. The larval development of Phragmatopoma californica (representing the most highly advanced genus) is described, and the structure of the adult of this species is compared with that of species belonging to other genera. It is concluded that the opercular stalk arises mainly from the first segment; that the opercular paleae represent the notochaetae of the first two segments, and that the oral tentacles and the building organ are also developed from the first segment. The prostomium bears a single pair of tentacles.

Before embarking on a study of the lymphoid system of an amphibian larva, it is necessary to realize that lymphoid tissue may occur in many organs of the body and that in all immature vertebrates and in adult poikilotherms separation of lymphoid tissue from myeloid tissue is incomplete (Yoffey, 1960). Jordan (1938) reviewed the early work on the haemopoietic tissues of Amphibia. Cooper (1967 a, b) and Baculi & Cooper (1967) made a thorough investigation of the lymphomyeloid and lymphoepithelial organs of the bullfrog, Rana catesbeiana, in the branchial region of the larva and in the ventral neck region of the adult. In the larva they found three pairs of ventral cavity bodies and one pair of lymph glands; in the adult, propericardial bodies, procoracoid bodies, epithelial bodies and jugular bodies were present. Cooper (1967a) reviewed the literature on these organs and discussed their nomenclature.

The relationships of resting metabolism per unit mass of body to gill and body surface areas were examined by measuring gill, body surface and fin areas of carp ranging from 0.0016 to 2250g. There was a triphasic allometry for the relationship between gill area and body mass: during the prelarval (0.0016–0.003 g) and postlarval (0.003–0.2g) stages there was a positive allometry (slopes of 7.066 and 1.222, respectively), during the juvenile and later stages (0.2–2250 g) there was a negative allometry with a slope of 0.794. There was a diphasic negative allometry for the relationship between surface area of the body or the fins and body mass, with a slope of 0.596 or 0.523 during the larval stage and 0.664 or 0.724 during the juvenile and later stages, respectively. Except for the 3rd phase (juvenile to adult) of gill area, these slopes were significantly different (P&lt;0.01) from the slope for the relationship between resting metabolism and body mass of intact carp (0.84; value from Winberg, 1956). It is considered, therefore, that gill, body surface and fin areas do not directly regulate the resting metabolism of the fish, in the larval stage at least.
